Project Engineer – Process

About the role

The Project Engineer – Process will support the delivery of critical process infrastructure packages for a major mining development in Western Australia. Reporting to the Package Lead, you will work across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases, collaborating with contractors, engineering teams and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, procurement, construction and commissioning of process infrastructure works.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for CSMPEI packages and process equipment.
• Coordinate interfaces between suppliers, contractors and construction teams.
• Assist procurement activities, including tender evaluation, contract administration and progress monitoring.
• Manage construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Resolve technical queries, design changes and non‑conformances.
• Monitor project risks, schedule performance and package delivery outcomes.
• Contribute to HAZID, HAZOP, constructability and Safety‑in‑Design reviews.
• Conduct field inspections and support contractor performance reporting.
• Assist senior personnel with cost, schedule, risk and HSE reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in mining, resources or infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to process infrastructure such as crushing, conveyors and processing plants.
• Understanding of project delivery, construction and contractor management principles.
• Knowledge of quality systems, inspections and construction compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Highly organised with proactive problem‑solving skills.
