Project Engineer – Manufacturing & Hire Division

About the role

JLE Group is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join its Manufacturing & Hire division in Newcastle. Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Engineer, you will coordinate workflow between internal stakeholders and clients, support day‑to‑day project requirements and help maintain high‑quality standards across high‑volume electrical equipment production.

Key responsibilities

• Download and organise project information as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project drawing folders and files.
• Perform drawing comparisons from IFT to IFC and apply mark‑ups.
• Manage document transmittals and ensure accurate project procurement within delegated authority.
• Control documentation and support project QA processes.
• Provide project information to administration and assist with handover dossiers.
• Support estimators, project managers and senior managers with project submissions.
• Take ownership of task finalisation and follow up on requested information.

• Self‑motivated with strong initiative.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational and computer skills.
