Project Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

SRG Global is seeking a driven and experienced Project Engineer to join its Infrastructure division in Collie, as part of a site-based project delivery team supporting major infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, the engineer coordinates engineering and site-based elements so that safety, quality, environment, cost and schedule objectives are met, from procurement and quality documentation to construction support and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project documentation including WMS, ITPs, MDRs and quality, safety and environmental plans.
• Provide technical support to site teams and ensure compliance with engineering specs and project requirements.
• Assist in planning, scheduling and monitoring progress using tools such as MS Project, Candy or Primavera.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and services within timelines and budgets.
• Resolve on-site issues through RFIs and TQs and support constructability and design improvements.
• Support QA/QC, including testing coordination, NCR close-out and register management.
• Liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders, and assist with reporting, timesheets and documentation control.
• Promote a Zero Harm safety culture and comply with SRG Global's HSEQ standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in civil infrastructure or mining projects.
• Proven ability to deliver quality outcomes in fast-paced, remote construction environments.
• Experience with quality and procurement management, temporary works and cost control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to Zero Harm and continuous improvement.
