Project Electrical Engineer (Perth / Site)

About the role

UON, an integrated energy company in Western Australia, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with project engineering experience to work on site projects for its clients. The role starts in the Malaga head office and moves to site in Q1 2027 on a 2:1 roster. It suits a proactive, technically skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with UON and client HSE requirements
• Plan and coordinate project engineering assignments, including technical specifications and detailed plans
• Promote environmental management initiatives
• Act as a troubleshooter and alert senior team members to potential problems
• Build relationships with clients, project teams, design teams and subcontractors
• Complete material take-offs and check them against contract documents
• Maintain document registers and prepare programmes for work packages

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
• At least 5 years' experience in the construction and engineering industry
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia; only such applicants will be considered
• Valid WA manual driver's licence

Required skills

• Project management and electrical engineering knowledge, including pipeline, hydraulic calculations, pumps, valves, generators, testing and commissioning, and ITP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work autonomously and understand Work Health and Safety principles
