Project and Design Manager, Water

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Project and Design Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Perth. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver planning, design, construction, and commissioning outcomes that benefit communities and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across all phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams on capital and utility projects, including networks, pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Manage scope, programme, budget, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to achieve high‑quality outcomes for clients and communities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process, or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 7+ years of experience in the water or resources industry delivering infrastructure or brownfield projects.
• Experience in a consultancy or client‑side environment preferred.
• Proven project management experience across one or more project lifecycle stages.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strategic thinking to understand client needs and add value.
• Proactive attitude and desire to work in a high‑performing, collaborative team.
