Programs Manager (Residential Services)

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees residential mental health programs across step‑up, step‑down and longer‑term settings in Darwin. You will lead a team of coordinators and frontline staff while working closely with clinical services and external partners to ensure high‑quality care for people with complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead residential mental health programs across multiple settings.
• Manage and support coordinators and frontline teams.
• Collaborate closely with clinical services and external stakeholders.
• Oversee staffing, rostering, risk management and service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service operations.

Required profile

• Experience in mental health services, preferably residential or community‑based.
• Proven leadership in shift‑based or 24/7 environments.
• Strong understanding of recovery‑oriented and trauma‑informed practice.
• Confidence working alongside clinical or multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex setting.

What we offer

• SCHADS Award Level 6 salary $110,102‑$114,893 plus super (negotiable).
• Salary packaging up to $15,900.
