Program Manager – Forestry (Australia & New Zealand)

About the role

Lead SGS's forestry certification programmes across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring technical excellence, compliance and business growth. You will develop new services, support sales, and maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Forestry team, aligning performance with business objectives.
• Manage delivery and compliance of certification and audit programmes (Forest Management, FSC CoC, PEFC, RSPO, EUDR).
• Support business growth by creating new certification programmes and service offerings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Business Development and Key Account teams to drive commercial outcomes.
• Ensure operational excellence through audit review, record management and reporting.
• Design and deliver training to maintain team competency.

Required profile

• Proactive leader with experience building strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Background in auditing, certification, compliance or a related industry.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commercially minded and customer‑focused approach.
• Current valid driver’s licence and based in Australia or New Zealand.

Required skills

• Forestry Trainer/Auditor technical qualifications.
• Lead Auditor recognition.
• Confidence using computer systems, databases and reporting tools.
