Professor of Law – Experiential Learning Leader

About the role

The School of Law seeks a senior academic leader to embed experiential learning and practical legal skills across its programmes. This full‑time, permanent position offers flexible working arrangements at the Parramatta South campus.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to integrate experiential learning throughout undergraduate and postgraduate law curricula.
• Design, develop and deliver blended, technology‑enabled units that meet professional standards.
• Lead peer review, quality assurance, and curriculum development at unit, course and program levels.
• Build and sustain partnerships with legal practitioners, service providers and professional bodies locally, nationally and internationally.
• Mentor early‑ and mid‑career academics and contribute to governance and professional activities in legal education.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in legal practice or a PhD in law or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Proven experience leading experiential or practice‑based learning initiatives in legal education.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with legal professionals and industry partners.
• Highly developed leadership, collaboration and mentoring capabilities across disciplines.
