About the role
The University of Queensland seeks an outstanding academic leader to serve as Professor and Head of School for the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences. Reporting to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Science, you will provide visionary leadership that advances the School’s strategic direction, strengthens its global reputation, and inspires excellence across research, teaching, engagement and impact.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the School’s strategic planning, research agenda and teaching programmes.
- Foster an inclusive, innovative culture and build productive relationships with industry, government and global partners.
- Manage finances, operations and human resources effectively.
Required profile
- International reputation with a strong record of research, teaching, publications, grant success and PhD supervision.
- Proven experience leading large, complex academic environments and shaping positive organisational culture.
- Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
