Production & Product Coordinator

About the role

Amble is seeking an experienced Production & Product Coordinator to manage the operational backbone of its product development. This part‑time role (10‑15 hours per week) will ensure smooth progression from concept to finished garment, working closely with offshore manufacturers and the design team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the end‑to‑end critical path and development calendar for each season.
• Manage all supplier communications, primarily with China‑based manufacturers, ensuring clarity and accountability.
• Oversee the full sampling lifecycle, tracking lab dips, strike‑offs, trims and final approvals.
• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs and spec sheets for factories.
• Handle garment costings, work toward margin targets, and create purchase orders and barcodes.
• Book freight, track shipments and coordinate production logistics to warehouse delivery.
• Maintain the sample library and organise all related documentation.
• Coordinate fittings, consolidate feedback and resolve construction issues promptly.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Product Development, Garment Technology or related field.
• 2‑4+ years experience in production coordination, product development or garment technology.
• Proven ability to manage critical paths across multiple product categories.
• Strong experience working directly with offshore manufacturers.
• Solid technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading and sampling.
• Commercially minded with understanding of costing and margins.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
