Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Operator to join our manufacturing team in Smithtown. The role supports the Production team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, focusing on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain line standards and follow standard operating procedures for each production run.
• Apply the 4M’s (Man, Machine, Method, Material) to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Promote a "zero injury, defect, waste" mindset and uphold safety, health, environment and quality standards.
• Participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) initiatives.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, reliability and cost requirements.

Required profile

• Reliability and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, days and nights.
• Strong enthusiasm for learning with a focus on safety, quality and wellbeing.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication abilities.
• Physical capability for manual handling and adherence to GMP.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
• High attention to standards and active engagement in NCE/TPM principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work with SAP and understand basic SAP transactions.
• Forklift licence (preferred).
