Production Operator – Full-time Permanent Role

About the role

Join Nestlé's Production team in Smithtown as a Production Operator. This full‑time permanent position offers a fast‑paced environment where you will contribute to efficient manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement and structured problem solving on the production line.
• Assist in meeting line standards, safety protocols and the 4M’s (Man, Machine, Method, Material).
• Promote a zero‑injury, zero‑defect, zero‑waste mindset and uphold safety, health, environment and quality standards.
• Participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) initiatives.
• Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, reliability and cost requirements.

Required profile

• Reliable and flexible, able to work shift patterns.
• Enthusiastic learner with strong focus on safety, quality and wellbeing.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication abilities.
• Eligibility to work in Australia with permanent residency.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment health and background checks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using SAP and understanding SAP transactions.
• Physical capability for manual handling and technical aptitude.
• Commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Forklift licence (advantage).
