Production Manager – Bakery Manufacturing

About the role

As Production Manager you will oversee daily bakery production across a diverse range of products, ensuring high quality standards and on‑time delivery. This hands‑on leadership position involves guiding a dedicated team, driving efficiency, and supporting product innovation within a growing artisan food manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end production of bread, pastry, savoury and specialty bakery items.
• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Lead, coach and develop production teams to achieve quality, safety and performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, workflow and cost management.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a commercial bakery or large‑scale food production environment, preferably with a background as a baker or pastry professional.
• Proven leadership experience in production, bakery or manufacturing management.
• Strong knowledge of bakery production planning, scheduling and operational best practices.
• Passion for producing high‑quality products and fostering continuous improvement.
• Ability to build engaged, high‑performing teams through visible and supportive leadership.
