Product System Design Engineer

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Product System Design Engineer to lead systems integration for its Process Analytics portfolio. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, operations, quality and commercial teams to develop and sustain products that meet customer, regulatory and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate electrical, electronic and system designs for Process Analytics products.
• Maintain engineering designs, documentation, Bills of Material and product data in PDM and ERP systems.
• Execute Engineering Change Orders and support configuration management.
• Partner with global teams to deliver custom engineering projects and provide design‑for‑manufacture support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting complex engineered products from design through manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical systems and product integration.

Required skills

• PLC programming and industrial communication protocols.
• AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN or equivalent design software.
• PDM/ERP systems, engineering change control and Bills of Material management.
• Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
