Product Support Representative

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is looking for a customer-focused Product Support Representative to join its Adelaide team at the Cavan branch. This is a field-based, permanent full-time role supporting customers across an assigned territory, working with equipment owners to maximise machine performance, find maintenance opportunities and deliver proactive parts and service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out onsite machine inspections and fleet assessments
• Identify maintenance, repair and component replacement opportunities
• Prepare proactive parts and service quotations
• Complete machine health inspections and detailed condition reports using company-provided systems and tools
• Support service agreement opportunities and renewals
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships within the territory
• Work closely with Sales, Parts and Service teams
• Promote Hitachi aftermarket solutions and value-added services
• Maintain the CRM system to reflect regional activities

Required profile

• Intermediate to advanced trade qualification in construction or mining
• Strong working knowledge of construction, earthmoving or mobile plant equipment
• Ability to identify and communicate maintenance and repair needs
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills
• Strong organisational ability and ability to work autonomously
• Willingness to travel throughout the designated region

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Experience using CRM systems
