Product Manager / BDM - Metal Framing Systems

About the role

An experienced Product Manager is sought to join a team reporting to the Product & Innovation Manager. The role covers the metal category, using manufacturing capacity, an optimised product mix and value-added customer solutions to drive growth and profitability. It suits candidates with metal framing or building product experience, and is based in Matraville with a hybrid option of 2-3 days working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Build strategy, growth and profitability across the metal category
• Gain customer insight through market research, site visits and engagement with installers and sales teams
• Monitor competitors, market trends, regulations and emerging technologies
• Find ways to improve product performance, cost efficiency and portfolio mix
• Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and global platform teams on product strategy
• Support new product development with local and global technical teams
• Drive installation training and best-practice sharing

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar B2B Technical Product Manager role, preferably with building or construction products such as framing and plasterboard
• Enjoys building relationships with distributors, architects and contractors
• Strong commercial acumen and product strategy execution in a high-performance culture
• Organised, structured and delivery-focused project management
• Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
