Procurement Specialist

About the role

As part of the Supply Chain team, the Procurement Specialist helps lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle and supports the organisation's sourcing initiatives. The role works closely with engineering, finance and manufacturing teams to deliver accelerated product launches efficiently, and suits someone with strong Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience in a manufacturing environment who can build scalable standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Create, issue and manage purchase orders to meet production and program needs
• Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships, monitor performance and resolve quality, delivery and pricing issues
• Resolve supply chain disruptions, delivery delays and quality issues quickly to keep projects on track
• Monitor and expedite orders to meet deadlines and production schedules
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and program teams to align procurement with company goals
• Track procurement KPIs, maintain accurate records and identify process improvements
• Support the sourcing strategy for direct commodities and/or categories, and document supplier performance
• Take part in weekly, daily and monthly supplier reviews
• Support continuous improvement for cost savings, quality and on-time delivery
• Support the supplier life cycle, from selection and adoption through to ongoing management and exit

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and relationship management
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and interpret design specifications
• Problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills with good judgment
• Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
