Procurement Specialist for Major Capital Project

About the role

An experienced Procurement Specialist is needed to support a commercial team delivering a major capital project in the resources sector. The role focuses on developing procurement strategies, engaging suppliers, and ensuring commercial and sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing activities, from market analysis to supplier selection.
• Prepare and coordinate RFx processes, including tender documentation and evaluations.
• Conduct supplier research, market engagement and commercial analysis.
• Assess supplier submissions, provide recommendations and support negotiations.
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships and advise internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement within mining, resources, infrastructure, construction or major projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competitive tender processes and sourcing activities.
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, risk management and commercial principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
