Procurement Partner (Level 5) - Government

About the role

A State Government procurement team in East Perth is looking for an experienced Procurement Partner (Level 5) to advise business stakeholders on procurement and contract management in line with government policy, legislation and best practice. The initial engagement runs from about 9 November 2026 to 8 February 2027, with a potential extension depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert procurement and contract management advice to business areas.
• Lead procurement activities, including market approaches, evaluations, negotiations and contract establishment.
• Help stakeholders plan and deliver procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Western Australian Government procurement policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
• Develop and manage contract documentation, variations and performance monitoring.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated procurement and contract management experience in a government or large organisation.
• Mandatory experience in Western Australian Government procurement processes and frameworks.
• Knowledge of procurement legislation, policies and governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills; able to handle competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Desirable: CIPS qualification or progress toward it, and experience with complex projects and high-value contracts.
