Process Technician (Gold Processing) - FIFO or Kalgoorlie/Kambalda

About the role

Gold Fields Australia is looking for Process Operators to join its Processing teams across its Western Australian operations. You will operate the processing plant and associated equipment safely, productively and efficiently, maximising plant performance without affecting the environment or the health and safety of personnel. Work is based at St Ives (residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie), Gruyere, Granny Smith or Agnew (all FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 roster).

Key responsibilities

• Operate all processing plant equipment for crushing, grinding, gravity, leach, adsorption, elution and the tails storage facility.
• Operate the process control systems.
• Identify and diagnose items needing preventative maintenance or repair.
• Maximise plant and equipment efficiency during production and recommend improvements to output and efficiency.
• Safely operate an IT loader, bobcat, forklift and power tools.
• Develop and follow procedures so mining plans are executed consistently and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous operating experience in a gold mineral processing environment; experience in other commodities will also be considered.
• Sound knowledge of processing methodologies and equipment, including the Citect control system.
• Strong focus on safety and commitment to company policies and processes.
• Valid manual driver's licence.
