Principal Social & Stakeholder Consultant

About the role

Onterris is seeking an experienced Principal Social & Stakeholder Consultant to join its Brisbane office. You will lead stakeholder engagement and social impact activities for high‑profile environmental projects, helping clients navigate complex regulatory and community landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify business development opportunities, build client relationships and contribute to or lead proposals.
• Plan, manage and implement stakeholder engagement programmes, facilitating constructive conversations.
• Act as a trusted advisor on regulatory and approvals processes.
• Guide clients through complex environments with confidence and commercial insight.
• Scope work, manage client expectations and oversee project delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in Social Science or Social Planning.
• 15+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement planning and implementation.
• Experience in Social Impact Assessment and management planning.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cultural heritage and traditional owner engagement highly regarded.
