Principal Security Engineer

About the role

Linkly is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to own and expand its internal penetration testing capability and lead threat modelling across the product portfolio. You will work closely with engineering and the Chief Security Officer to ensure cloud designs and configurations meet rigorous security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and run Linkly’s internal penetration testing function, defining strategy, approach and executing tests across cloud infrastructure, products and services.
• Conduct security assessments of new changes to the Azure cloud environment and validate secure design.
• Own security guidelines and define baselines for cloud environments.
• Provide security design reviews and testing for upcoming initiatives, including a new data product.
• Mentor and share expertise with other security engineers, including senior staff.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience as a security engineer, penetration tester or security consultant at a senior level.
• Extensive hands‑on penetration testing experience and proven ability to establish a testing capability.
• Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud‑native attack techniques and common misconfigurations.
• Experience developing threat models and guiding engineering teams to reduce risk.
• Strong scripting or programming skills to automate testing and build tooling.
