Principal – Executive Rewards, Client Impact and Delivery

About the role

Join the Workforce Solutions team at Mercer, part of Marsh, as a Principal focusing on executive rewards, client impact and delivery. This hybrid position is based in Melbourne (or Sydney) with a requirement to work in the office at least three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting projects for executive and non‑executive reward needs, developing diagnosis frameworks and methodologies.
• Advise boards, remuneration committees and executive teams on pay and governance structures, presenting recommendations directly to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development activities in the board and executive remuneration space.
• Develop and apply new analytical techniques, best practices and intellectual capital to strengthen service delivery.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, including attending board and remuneration committee meetings.

Required profile

• Advanced technical expertise in executive reward with experience advising boards or remuneration committees.
• Proven consulting background or senior internal role with a track record of delivering solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of managing complex, ongoing projects.
• Client‑centric mindset and willingness to support team capability through coaching and collaboration.

• Advanced Excel
• VBA, R, Python, Tableau or Power BI (any of these mentioned)
