Principal Consultant - Workday HCM, Compensation & Talent

About the role

Cognizant is looking for a Principal Consultant to bridge the gap between business and technical teams on Workday implementations. You will solve complex Workday intersystem problems and guide clients through the transformation, implementation and operation phases of a Workday HCM implementation, acting as a Workday HCM, Compensation and Advanced Compensation or Talent product expert.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend the best solution for each client based on their requirements, budget and timeframe, adapting the scope as additional needs arise.
• Guide customers through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions, applying best practices and the customer's unique business needs.
• Support clients through all project phases and ensure a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM.
• Keep the client, project team and Engagement Manager informed of progress and changes.
• Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, including loading customer data, moving configuration between tenants and configuring business processes and security.
• Lead, mentor and oversee other consultants on the projects, and be willing to take a leadership position as a Collaborative or Workday Product Partner Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Certification in Workday HCM, Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation or Talent.
• 5+ years of Workday HCM functional implementation experience.
• 5 years of experience with Human Resources, payroll or financial software.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing solutions under multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrated functional experience in HR, payroll or financials management.

Required skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to manage customer expectations.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
