Practice Manager

About the role

Key Health Medical Centres is looking for an experienced, people‑focused Practice Manager to lead the team and run the practice in St Leonards. You will own day‑to‑day operations, support clinicians and ensure a high‑quality patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop reception and nursing teams, including recruitment, onboarding and training.
• Oversee daily reception and clinic operations, manage staff rostering and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Coordinate doctor and registrar inductions and act as primary contact for staff and patient queries.
• Monitor practice KPIs, business performance and drive continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Maintain compliance, risk management, confidentiality and oversee medical software and electronic systems.
• Complete banking reconciliations and accounts reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience as a Senior Medical Receptionist.
• Previous people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical practice operations and Medicare, private health, billing processes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems quickly and deliver a patient‑first service.

Required skills

• Experience with Best Practice or similar medical software.
• Good understanding of medical software and electronic systems.
