Practice Advisor - Therapeutic

About the role

selectability, a not-for-profit charity focused on improving mental wellbeing and suicide prevention in regional Queensland, is hiring a Practice Advisor - Therapeutic for its Care Governance & Safeguarding team. Based in Townsville, the role strengthens therapeutic practice by giving expert guidance, coaching and practice leadership to teams supporting people with complex needs, embedding evidence-informed, trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist therapeutic leadership and advice for safe, person-centred, evidence-informed practice
• Support regional teams to respond to complex therapeutic needs, risks and behavioural challenges
• Build workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, consultation and practice development
• Contribute to therapeutic frameworks, resources, tools and models of care
• Foster collaboration with families, carers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary professionals
• Provide specialist insights for service improvement and organisational learning

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Support, Human Services or a related discipline
• Professional registration where applicable
• Experience advising, consulting and supporting complex services, and coaching and mentoring workforces
• Knowledge of the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) and NDIS Practice Standards
• Desirable: experience in disability, child and family care, mental health and aged care, and in governance, safeguarding or quality improvement
