PR & Content Manager

About the role

Stake is looking for a PR & Content Manager to join its Brand & Communications team in Sydney. You will own the earned‑media function, acting as the primary liaison between Stake and journalists, podcasters and creators across Australia and New Zealand. The role blends media relations with content collaboration to amplify Stake’s brand narrative.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Stake’s earned‑media strategy to increase share of voice in investing and culture.
• Build and maintain direct relationships with journalists, editors, podcasters, newsletter writers and creators.
• Pitch stories, secure coverage and act as the day‑to‑day media contact.
• Identify compelling angles from customer insights, data, products and market events.
• Collaborate with the Content team to integrate earned media into broader social and brand storytelling.
• Work across business, finance, tech and consumer media channels, including podcasts and creator platforms.
• Operate in a hybrid model, spending three days per week in Stake’s dog‑friendly Sydney office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in earned media, public relations or communications.
• Established network of journalists, editors, podcasters and creators in Australia and New Zealand.
• Ability to work autonomously, spot news opportunities early and deliver measurable coverage outcomes.
• Comfort with evolving PR tactics, including events, talent and influencer partnerships.
