About the role

As a Porter at Sofitel Adelaide, you will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering personalised and attentive service from arrival to departure. You will manage valet parking, luggage handling, and provide a tailored room orientation, ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued.

Key responsibilities

• Greet new and returning guests with a warm, personalised welcome.
• Operate valet parking services and safely handle guest vehicles.
• Transport luggage to and from guest rooms efficiently.
• Conduct brief room orientations, highlighting amenities and services.
• Provide local recommendations and information about Adelaide.
• Maintain a clean and orderly lobby and public areas.
• Collaborate with front‑desk and other hotel teams to ensure seamless service.

Required profile

• Valid full driver’s licence (automatic and manual).
• Service‑focused personality with prior customer‑service experience.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand and move for long periods.
• Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
