Platform Specialist – DevOps

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain, optimise and scale our hybrid‑cloud infrastructure. You will ensure reliability and performance of our Kubernetes platforms and automate operational tasks while collaborating closely with development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly available Amazon EKS clusters, including node pool management, upgrades and disaster recovery.
• Apply Kubernetes security best practices such as RBAC, pod security policies and network policies.
• Configure networking, ingress, autoscaling (HPA, Karpenter/Cluster Autoscaler) and manage secrets with Vault.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible for fast, safe releases.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash or Go and implement deployment strategies like blue‑green, canary and rolling updates.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and logging solutions to provide real‑time system visibility.
• Analyse capacity and optimise AWS resource utilisation for performance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure security compliance through image scanning, secrets management and network controls.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration in a hybrid‑cloud environment.
• Hands‑on expertise in AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
• Proven ability to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Familiarity with SRE/DevOps practices, incident response and on‑call rotations.
