Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Platform Engineer at Auto & General, you will build and improve the cloud platform that enables developers to deliver high-quality software. You will work within a collaborative squad of the Cloud Platform team, focusing on design, implementation and smooth operation of tools and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for provisioning AWS resources.
• Collaborate with application teams to create solutions that accelerate software delivery.
• Develop and manage build and deployment pipelines.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, networking, monitoring and upgrades.
• Support cloud operations, troubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in incident response.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services in an enterprise environment.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture and experience deploying applications to a cluster.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus or New Relic.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S and cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
