Plant Operator – Kiln (Rotating Shift)

About the role

The Plant Operator (Kiln) will join Graymont’s Traralgon facility on a rotating shift schedule, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the vertical kiln and roller‑milling circuit. This full‑time, permanent role supports the production of lime and limestone products essential for industrial and environmental applications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the vertical kiln and roller‑milling equipment in line with production schedules.
• Load trucks, bag finished product, and manage general mobile‑plant movements.
• Perform basic plant maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Collect and test samples in the laboratory to verify product quality.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in fixed‑plant production or industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a rotating shift.
• Right to live and work in Australia.
• Strong attention to detail and computer literacy for record‑keeping.
