Pharmacy Services Officer

About the role

Slade Pharmacy, part of Icon Oncology Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Services Officer for its Mount Kuring-Gai site. The role supports remote pharmacy services to public hospital outpatient clinics across New South Wales, combining customer support, pharmacy administration and dispensary work in an office environment. It suits experienced pharmacy technicians looking for a more office-based position, or people from healthcare administration, medical reception, contact centre or customer service backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Customer Relations Officer in triaging phone calls and emails for 3 days a week
• Support patient account processes, including enquiries and payment processing
• Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital patients and outpatients
• Manage and dispense prescriptions for allocated hospitals and clinics
• Process PBS prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Liaise with health professionals when required and support pharmacists
• Assemble orders for dispatch to clinics
• Assist the Procurement Officer with stock control and maintenance, and take part in regular stock-taking

Required profile

• Australian working rights valid for at least 12 months
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Australian driver's licence
• Desirable: pharmacy dispensary experience, customer service or contact centre experience, and a Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
