Pharmaceutical Cleaner – Immediate Start

About the role

AstraZeneca is looking for a dedicated Pharmaceutical Cleaner to join its North Ryde manufacturing plant. You will work full‑time on a 24‑month contract, helping maintain the high‑hygiene environment required for producing life‑changing medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Follow strict cleaning schedules for production and office areas to meet GMP standards.
• Clean and maintain areas to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
• Operate and care for powered cleaning equipment (training provided).
• Manage waste and recycling in line with sustainability goals.
• Complete cleaning records and logbooks after each shift.
• Support regular hygiene audits and prepare for inspections.
• Adhere to security protocols and report any incidents.
• Work collaboratively with the cleaning team and communicate effectively.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience in a regulated environment such as hospitals, food manufacturing, hotels or aged care.
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, lift equipment and use cleaning tools.
• Basic confidence using computers or mobile devices for training and form completion.
• Reliable, hard‑working and able to work as part of a team.
