Petroleum Engineering Internship – 12‑Week Program

About the role
Join Chevron’s 12‑week paid Petroleum Engineering Internship in Perth and work within an integrated Subsurface Team. You will support world‑class oil and gas operations, evaluate reservoir and well performance, and assist field engineers in monitoring and optimising well integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating reservoir and well performance data.
- Support petroleum engineering field operations personnel in monitoring well performance.
- Participate in routine management of gas production well operations to maintain asset integrity.
- Utilise well condition monitoring and reservoir surveillance data for short‑ and long‑term business decisions.
Required profile
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia.
- Penultimate or final year of an undergraduate degree or postgraduate study in engineering (mechanical, chemical, process or related).
- Available full‑time from 23 Nov 2026 to 19 Feb 2027, with a week off in December.
- Strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills
- Basic understanding of petroleum engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with well condition monitoring and reservoir surveillance data.
