People & Culture Manager

About the role

The People & Culture Manager partners with managers and team members across all Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) venues to provide high‑quality people advisory services. This role leads performance review administration, supports HRIS implementation, and assists the General Manager, People with industrial relations and performance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle team‑member enquiries regarding employment entitlements and produce related correspondence in line with the Privacy Act.
• Support the GM, People on industrial relations, performance, discipline and dismissal matters, acting as the primary contact for related communications and investigations.
• Maintain and publish AVM position descriptions and the organisational structure document.
• Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of people‑related policies, procedures and forms.
• Collect, store and analyse exit feedback to recommend continuous improvement.
• Oversee administration, reporting and automation of the annual Performance Review and Development Planning (PRDP) process.
• Coordinate the AVM Consultative Committee and act as point of contact for industrial relations correspondence.
• Collaborate with the People Coordinator to create a training plan derived from PRDP outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in HR advisory or people‑services roles within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong understanding of industrial relations, employment legislation and performance management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to work with internal teams and external agencies.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and policy development.

Required skills

• Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) implementation and adoption.
