People & Culture Business Partner - Talent

About the role

Veriu Group, a fast-growing Australian hotel group, is looking for a People & Culture Business Partner focused on talent. It is a highly visible, generalist role that shapes how the business attracts, hires and develops people, working closely with the CEO, COO, hotel managers and senior leaders. The position is permanent and full time, based in Melbourne, with a closing date of 28 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for senior and business-critical roles.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for future workforce needs.
• Create partnerships with universities, hospitality schools and industry networks.
• Promote the employer brand across LinkedIn, SEEK, Indeed, Glassdoor and other channels.
• Deliver onboarding and orientation programs for new team members.
• Coordinate talent development initiatives such as Fast-Track and Rising Talent programs.
• Partner with leaders on hiring quality, workforce capability and succession planning.
• Support new hotel openings across Australia.

Required profile

• Experience in a hotel or hospitality people & culture role, ideally generalist, with fast-paced decision-making and recruitment at all levels.
• Experience building talent pipelines and employer branding initiatives.
• Passion for finding, attracting and developing people, and a commercial mindset when partnering with senior leaders.
• Enjoy working in the office and occasional travel to hotels across Australia for new openings and onboarding site tours.
