Peer Recovery Worker - Community Living Support

About the role

Wellways is recruiting a Peer Recovery Worker for its Community Living Support (CLS) program. You will use your own lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery to inspire hope, build connections and support people to achieve their goals, strengthen their independence and connect with their community. The role sits within an integrated team that provides consistent, person-led support.

Key responsibilities

• Engage, empower and support people on their recovery journey using your lived experience
• Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and needs
• Facilitate peer learning programs and promote hope, recovery and self-determination
• Work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services
• Maintain accurate participant records, recovery plans and program documentation

Required profile

• Completion of Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Peer Work or Certificate IV in Community Services, or active enrolment in one of these
• 100 points of identification and evidence of right to work in Australia
• Driver's licence, National Police Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• International Police Check if required
• NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Workers Orientation Modules

What we offer

• SCHADS Level 3 pay of $38.65-$43.42 per hour, with salary packaging and leave loading
