Payroll Support / Administrator

About the role

Melbourne Pathology, one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic laboratories, is seeking a full‑time Payroll Support/Administrator. The role ensures accurate payroll processing and compliance for a diverse workforce across its metropolitan and regional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll, ensuring correct entitlements under relevant Awards and agreements.
• Maintain employee payroll data, including leave requests, terminations and personal details.
• Calculate gross salaries, superannuation, tax and novated leases, monitoring legislative changes.
• Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers promptly.
• Assist with the implementation of new HR and payroll programs.
• Prepare compliance reports for government agencies and external organisations.
• Perform ad‑hoc administrative tasks such as follow‑up on former employees and work‑cover claims.
• Manage onboarding and cessation processes within the Recruitment Management System (RMS).
• Provide support for the ELMO learning management system as required.

Required profile

• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Desirable: qualification in Business, Accounting or HR.

Required skills

• Experience with ichris payroll software (preferred).
• Familiarity with UKG payroll system (preferred).
• Knowledge of ELO (advantageous).
• Experience using ELMO (Sonic Healthcare Learning Management System).
• Proficiency with the Recruitment Management System (RMS) for onboarding and termination.
