Payroll Specialist

About the role

Clio is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to join its APAC payroll team. You will own end‑to‑end Australian payroll processing while supporting global payroll through third‑party providers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process payroll for Australia‑based employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Manage payroll inputs such as variable pay, allowances, leave loading, retroactive adjustments and final settlements.
• Handle statutory reporting and remittances (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax) in line with Australian requirements.
• Coordinate Employer of Record (EOR) payroll cycles across multiple countries and reconcile payroll and benefits data.
• Support employee lifecycle events (hires, changes, leaves, resignations, terminations) and maintain payroll processes in Workday.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on Australian payroll experience, including full‑cycle processing.
• Strong knowledge of PAYG withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, state payroll tax and Fair Work Act obligations.
• Experience managing payroll through third‑party providers or EOR platforms across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities independently.
