Payroll Officer

About the role

Respect Aged Care, a Tasmanian not-for-profit aged care provider founded in 1922, is looking for a Payroll Officer to join its payroll team at the Devonport head office. The role delivers accurate and timely payroll to employees across multiple sites and states, supporting a workforce that provides care. Part-time and full-time applications are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for a large, multi-site workforce
• Maintain payroll systems and employee records
• Manage leave, sick and overtime data
• Apply relevant awards, agreements and company policies
• Process payroll adjustments, terminations and related documentation
• Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Respond to payroll queries from staff and managers
• Support general payroll administration tasks

Required profile

• Previous experience in payroll and administration
• Completion of at least Year 11 education
• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements

Required skills

• Strong computer literacy and accuracy with data entry
• Ability to work to deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
