Payments Officer

About the role

Gallagher is looking for a Payments Officer in Adelaide to provide payments and administrative support to the South Australian Workers Compensation Operations, acting on behalf of Return to Work SA. The role delivers a professional, customer-focused payments service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a professional, customer-focused payments service and handle general enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the claims teams with general administrative tasks as required.
• Liaise with stakeholders so that payments are keyed and processed accurately.
• Ensure payments are processed promptly and accurately, meeting business unit KPIs such as service level agreements and service standards.
• Maintain filing and data integrity standards within internal systems.
• Monitor, process and act on emails received in the shared email inboxes.
• Deliver a customer-centred service with empathy, respect and a focus on continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Recent work experience in a customer service-based role.
• Strong administration experience.
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-player attitude.
• Exceptional time management and organisation skills.
