Patient Revenue Services Manager

About the role

Austin Health is seeking a Patient Revenue Services Manager to lead its high‑volume billing and collections function across multiple campuses. You will provide financial leadership, governance and a customer‑focused perspective within a complex organisation that spans patient care, research and academia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Revenue teams, ensuring efficient billing, receipting and debt management.
• Lead the customer‑service function for revenue activities, delivering respectful and accessible service to patients and families.
• Protect revenue integrity through robust controls, reconciliations, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Partner with clinical and operational leaders to identify revenue risks and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient care.
• High energy, drive and a keen interest in developing professional skillsets.
• Experience managing high‑volume billing/collections teams with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to analyse performance data and report on actual results.

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in health billing, including Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS), health funds and compensable agencies.
• Knowledge of schedule of fees and associated service rules.
• Proficiency in timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting.
• Capability to advise internal and external customers on election, billing and debt‑management matters.
