Patient Accounts Administrator (Health Fund Billing & Debt Follow-up)

About the role

Cabrini Health is hiring a Patient Accounts Administrator for its Malvern location, working 38 hours per week on an ongoing basis. The role sits within a team responsible for billing and debtor follow-up from health fund, TAC and Workcover claims for services provided at Cabrini, with a hybrid arrangement available.

Key responsibilities

• Raise claims and accounts in line with the relevant contracts
• Ensure legislation requirements are met and all relevant documentation is completed
• Follow up unprocessed claims, resubmissions and audit cases
• Maintain clear communication between the Patient Accounts Department and other Cabrini departments
• Follow up unpaid accounts with health funds, TAC, Workcover and third-party providers

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in health care billing, claims processing, debt collection or revenue administration
• Understanding of health insurance funding, billing and debt collection
• Ability to manage account discrepancies and customer queries, and to follow up on rejected claims
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and accurate record keeping

Required skills

• Ability to apply billing procedures and use billing, claims or patient management systems
• Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
