Pastry Chef de Partie

About the role

QT Gold Coast, part of EVT's premium lifestyle hotel brand, is looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie. The role covers producing plated desserts for two restaurants and conferences and helping produce the Zumbo High Tea.

Key responsibilities

• Produce plated desserts for two restaurants and conferences, and help produce the Zumbo High Tea
• Deliver a high-quality food product at all times, following standard recipes across all outlets
• Demonstrate strong recipe knowledge for every item on the hotel's menus
• Monitor food quality, quantity and portion control, and requisition product in line with hotel policies and procedures
• Monitor food storage and maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with hotel and WH&S standards
• Care for kitchen equipment, work harmoniously with the service team and support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with additional duties as directed

Required profile

• A good understanding of patisserie and plated dessert work
• The ability to grasp production needs across a number of outlets
• High attention to detail
