Paste Plant Operator

About the role

The Paste Plant Operator is responsible for safe and efficient paste‑fill operations in a mining environment. You will monitor the plant, manage the underground reticulation network and ensure accurate delivery of paste to designated stopes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the paste plant to maintain continuous fill operations.
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the paste reticulation system.
• Manage surface activities such as system flushing and remote control of paste diverters.
• Liaise with underground teams to coordinate paste delivery.
• Record production data, system pressures and plant performance for reporting.
• Identify and resolve faults promptly to minimise downtime.
• Operate a Komatsu WA 500 Front End Wheel Loader in line with operational requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties as directed by senior operators or the Paste Fill Coordinator.

Required profile

• Previous experience in paste plant operations or reticulation systems.
• Valid Front End Loader ticket and C Class manual driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Working at heights certification or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card and a recent National Police Clearance.
