Part‑time Remote IT Support Officer

About the role

This part‑time remote position provides technical assistance to users and helps maintain the organisation’s computer systems, software and network functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware and software issues.
• Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Assist with system installations, updates and routine maintenance.
• Monitor performance of IT equipment and respond to support tickets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date IT documentation and support cybersecurity procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient business operations.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of computer systems, software applications and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Good organisational and multitasking abilities; capable of working independently.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
