Part-Time Security Patrol Officer - Berri

About the role

AG Security Group, South Australia's largest privately owned security organisation, is looking for a reliable and motivated part-time Security Patrol Officer based in Berri, in the Riverland. You will provide a visible security presence across client sites, carry out scheduled patrols and respond to unscheduled alarm activations and incidents. Night shifts run seven days a week, with extra day shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled mobile and foot patrols across client premises
• Check buildings, doors, gates and access points for signs of damage or unauthorised entry
• Respond to unscheduled alarm activations, adjust patrol activities as directed and assess situations according to site instructions
• Complete lock-up and unlock duties as required
• Record patrol activity and prepare clear, accurate reports
• Maintain communication with the operations team and escalate incidents promptly
• Identify hazards, maintenance issues and security concerns
• Liaise professionally with clients, the public and emergency services when required
• Follow company procedures, client instructions and safe working practices

Required profile

• Current South Australian Security Licence
• Current driver's licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia
• Flexibility to work a 7-day fortnightly roster
• Previous experience in mobile patrols or a similar security role is highly regarded
• A National Police Check is required as part of onboarding

• Confidence driving at night and working independently across multiple locations
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence using mobile devices and electronic reporting systems
