Part-Time Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist)

About the role

Apricus Health is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to provide hand therapy services from its Ingham clinic. The role is part-time or casual, ideally with at least one regular clinical day per week, and suits someone who wants to complement an existing position, return to clinical work gradually or establish a regular day of specialist practice in the Ingham community. You will manage your own local caseload while staying connected to the established Hand Therapy team in Townsville.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse hand and upper limb caseload, including fracture management, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, sports and workplace injuries, nerve conditions, chronic conditions such as arthritis, open trauma, wounds, scars and burns, and neurological upper limb rehabilitation.
• Work closely with surgeons, GPs and other allied health professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Build strong relationships with clients, referrers and the local community.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with current general AHPRA registration.
• Clinical experience in hand therapy and confidence managing a varied caseload autonomously.
• Willingness to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• Current driver's licence and valid Australian working rights.
