Paramedic - Mining Site Emergency Response (FIFO)

About the role

MSS Security, a security company active in Australia, is looking for a paramedic to join its site emergency response team in a mining environment. The paramedic provides first response to all incidents and supports site training and HSE activities. The roster is 7 days on / 7 days off with day and night rotations, and the position is based in Moranbah, Queensland, and is a FIFO role for candidates who do not live locally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first response to incidents on site
• Assist a team of paramedics, nurses and ESOs in responding to emergency situations
• Assist with training and HSE activities as required

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience
• Degree in Paramedicine
• AHPRA registration
• HLTPAT005: collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
• Australian driver's licence, class C, open licence (manual, heavy rigid desirable or willingness to obtain)
• Proof of right to work in Australia
• Up-to-date immunisations against tetanus, hepatitis A and B
• Microsoft Office Suite computer literacy
• Pre-employment medical and national police check required for all successful applicants
