Paralegal - Health Insurance Legal Team

About the role

Bupa is hiring a Paralegal to support its Health Insurance Legal team in Melbourne, Victoria. The role offers practical legal experience in a global healthcare organisation serving millions of customers, working alongside experienced lawyers locally and globally. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting in January 2027, at 2.5 days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Health Insurance Legal team with a broad range of legal work
• Work on marketing and advertising reviews, contracts, legal research, legal operations and legal technology
• Develop commercial awareness and strengthen legal capability
• Work in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus an additional half day each week from home

Required profile

• Currently completing a law degree or Juris Doctor, with at least two years of study remaining at the start of the role
• Demonstrated experience through paid employment, volunteering or other community or extracurricular commitments
• Reliability, initiative, strong work ethic and ability to manage competing responsibilities
